Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a fantastic half term!

It was great to see all the children back in school ready for the second half of our topic ‘Animal Antics’.

This week the focus tasks will link to St.Davids Day, which is on Thursday. We will be taking part in the school Eisteddfod so the children will need to wear their welsh costumes. Please ensure everything is clearly labelled, including the hats!

Here are a few songs we have been learning in school. We have lots of Welsh to learn this week as Mister Urdd has paid us a visit and he can only speak welsh! Today we focused on the phrase ‘Pwy wyt ti?’

Snack money for this term is now due; the cost for the part-time children is £5 and £10 for the full-time children.

The cost for the children that use the wrap around provision in the afternoon is £5.

Changes to the morning

We have been promoting the children’s independence over the last few weeks and I have really noticed a big difference. The children are beginning to take responsibility for their own belongings, we encourage them to put their coat on, find their readings bags and some have been changing for P.E. In order to develop their independence further, Mrs Harries and I have both agreed that from Monday 5th March the children need to start entering the classroom without an adult. There will be plenty of adults around to support your child in putting up their coats and bags and to ensure they come into class feeling happy.

The full-time children now have an extra peg for the afternoon so they can now be dropped off from the infant yard in the mornings. This will be from the same door you pick them up from.

Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Tucker and The Early Years Team.
