This term our theme is all about animals and the topic is called ‘Animal Antics.’ 

Further information on what we will be learning and doing under the umbrella of the theme will be posted next week. We are visiting Cefn Mably Farm on Monday the 15th of January to start off the topic. 

Please ensure that all contributions and consent forms are returned to school by Thursday. If you have mislaid your child’s consent form or have yet to receive one then please ask a member of staff in the class for one. Children who have just joined us will receive a form tomorrow. 

Children will need suitable foot wear and warm clothing for the trip. We will be walking around outdoors. There is shelter provided for us to rest and warm up.

Packed lunch is required for the trip. If you are able to join us then please let the office know. We are looking for 5 parent helpers. 

This week we are settling back into our school routines and for the children who have joined us we are teaching them all about the routines of the day. 

We are exploring the Season- Winter. 

Some of our learning will involve. 

Looking for signs of winter outdoors. 

Creating a winter scene. 

Making snowflakes. 

Learning about the seasons. 

Playing winter I spy. 

Ordering the stones on a winter path. 

Designing a hat, gloves and scarf. 

Reading stories around a winter theme. 

We are also hoping for some snow to make it magical!
