Evening all,
I hope you
all had a fantastic week and managed to spend some quality time together. I
loved catching up with them today and hearing all about their news.
A big thank
you for the positive feedback given on parents evening, it was great meeting
with you to discuss how your child has settled in.
Today we introduced Read, Write,
Inc. This is the phonics program we use as a school to teach reading. The children loved
taking part and we will be developing our fine motor skills by forming the sounds
in a variety of kinaesthetic ways.
The links below will take you to the RWI and Oxford Owl website where there is a range of videos that you can watch to see
how the programme is delivered.
Please take the
time to watch the videos, as it will really help you to understand how your
child will learn to read over the next few years. Your support at home is vital
to ensure the children make steady and positive progress!
If you are
unsure of anything, please don’t hesitate to come and ask! Working together will
achieve the best for your child.
Last but not
least… snack money for this term is now due, a contributions of £7 will be appreciated.
