Christmas is coming!

Dear Parents,

A big thank you for the homework journals, they look fantastic!

All costume letters and speaking lines for the Christmas Nativity have gone home, if yours has been misplaced please come and see me.

The children are doing a super job at learning the songs; you are in for a real treat! If your child is a star, can you please send a black, long sleeved top and black leggings to wear underneath the costume? All items of clothing must to be labelled!

A Book Advent Calendar for Christmas!

On the 1^st December, Santa’s Elves will be moving into the nursery to get us into the Christmas sprit! They will be delivering a special phone that will allow me to phone Santa, a Santa camera to keep an eye on the good children and a Santa sack that needs to be filled with Christmas stories!

If you want to join in with the Christmas fun, please send to school a Christmas story that has been wrapped up in Christmas paper. Everyday we will unwrap a new book and read a Christmas story! Please write your child’s name in the inside of the book so we can send them home once they have been read! Books will need to be sent to school by Thursday 30^th November.

The children are really enjoying RWI, so far we have learnt the sounds ‘M a s d t’. The home learning task for the next fortnight is to go on a sound hunt! How many times can the children spot the sounds we have learnt when they are out and about? You can look on number plates, shop signs, food packages, books, newspapers etc. Can you take a picture of your child pointing out the sound and help them create an A4 picture collage of the pictures? This can be done as a creative task or an ICT task by using a picture collage app… the choice is yours! The homework journals will be sent home this week so you can stick the collage in the book. If you have difficulties with printing, just ask for my work email and I will print them off for you.

Please bring into school by Monday 4^th December.

P.S A naughty Elf told me that children misbehaving are receiving potato peelings this year… I am sure we will all be on the good list!!
