Winter

The theme for the next fortnight will be all about Winter, most of the activities will link to the film ‘Frozen’

Our activities will include:

Literacy and Language

·          Overwrite words to describe Winter

RWI sound sessions

Mathematics

·         Recreate a snowman using shapes

·      Recognise and order number snowflakes

Knowledge and Understanding

·     Make and melt ice, discussing the change

Make a melted Olaf the snowman and look at the irreversible change

Creative

Make a snow globe

Personal and Social

·     Use the feelings dice to discuss how the characters from Frozen were feeling at different stages of the film

Welsh

·     Become familiar with the Welsh words for winter clothes Eg. Gloves=menig

Writing workshop

2.    Number formation

Forest School

•   Make an Olaf using clay and sticks found in the Forest

PE will start next week, please check the door to see what day your child will be taken part. Can you please continue working with your sounds at home, the children are making good progress and all their hard work is really showing in class. If it has been misplaced, just let me know and I will get you a new set.
