We
had a great Harvest assembly this morning. The children sang very well, and all
enjoyed watching the other children performing with their class. The food that
was on our Harvest table has now been collected by The Food Bank and will be
distributed in the area to those families who need it. Thank you to those who
brought something in!
Next
week, our main story will be 'Handa's Surprise'. Our activities will include:
Literacy and Language
· Re-tell the story of ‘Handa’s surprise’ using a story

Mathematics
· Begin to understand the language of adding, Eg add one
more apple in Handa’s basket
· Compare fruits by size and
sort into large and small
Knowledge and Understanding
· Tasting and describing the different fruits that were
in Handa’s basket
Creative
· Make a Christmas card that will be available to order

Recreating the animals from ‘Handa’s surprise’
Personal and Social
· Circle time- discussing the differences between us. Taking about how we
are all different but all equally special
Welsh
· Learning colours in welsh

· Fox crawl

Forest School
- Continue making autumn crowns using natural objects found in the forest
- Planting Winter Vegetables in the allotment
Parent evening letters were given out tonight, the
main purpose of the meeting is to discuss how your child has settled in to
school and their initial progress within the class. Please make your
appointment as soon as possible as times will be given out on a first returned,
first choice basis. I look forward to meeting with you! As of next week we will
have a new member of staff joining the nursery, Miss Northway will be joining the team
and is looking forward to getting to know the children!
