The children have had a fantastic first full week. We didn't have any tears at all this morning! We are very proud of them.
We have been busy this week. We have made a good start on the new Government Led Initial Assessments, painted balloons to go on the Birthday Wall, played pairs, listened to stories, sung lots of new songs and rhymes and made lots of new friends! We have also had some really good helpers this week, who have been excellent at helping to give out the milk and toast.

Below are the words to some of the new songs we have learned, so if your child starts singing them at home you can join in!

5 little monkeys swinging in the trees teasing Mr Crocodile, you can't catch me, you can't catch me. Along came Mr Crocodile as hungry as can be... and SNAP ate 1 for his tea!
4 little monkeys swinging in the tress.....
3 little monkeys swinging in the trees....
2 little monkeys swinging in the tress....
1 little monkey swinging in the tress....

Autumn leaves come tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down.
Autumn leaves come tumbling down, red and yellow, green and brown.
Twirling, swirling to the ground, to the ground, to the ground,
Twirling, swirling to the ground, red and yellow, green and brown.
(to the tune of London Bridge is falling down)

Next week we will be going for an Autumn walk around the school grounds. So if you haven't already done so, can you make sure that your chld has wellies in school. We will also be using puppets to help tell stories and continuing with the Initial Assessments.

We hope the children have enjoyed their time in school so far. The staff are really enjoying working and playing with them. Although I am sure that we will all sleep well tonight!

Have a good weekend. See you all on Monday
