WB 1/3/21

Prynhawn Da,
What a lovely sunny weekend we have had! Spring is here. It was lovely to see all the children this week, They have all come back and settled really well. I am looking forward to our Pre- Nursery starting tomorrow and the children are excited to welcome new friends into the classroom.
We had a fun week learning all about Wales in preparation for St.Davids tomorrow. We have learnt a Welsh song, practised our handwriting and created a art picture following Rhiannon Roberts work. Keep an eye out for pictures on Twitter tomorrow.

What is happening this week?

Dydd Llun/Monday-
St.Davids day! We will be celebrating St.Davids Day in our class bubble. Please can pupils wear something Welsh theme to school? We understand it may be difficult with the shop restrictions at the moment but if you already have a traditional welsh costume or rugby jersey, then that would be great. If not you could wear something red or green. We will be doing lots of welsh activities. In the afternoon we will be tasting Welsh cakes and Bara brith and deciding which one we like best. If you wish for your child not to take part please let me know in the morning.
Dydd Mercher/Wednesday
PE kits to be worn to school (Not Pre-Nursery). We will be starting Welly Wednesday back so please make sure your child has a warm coat.
Dydd Iau/Thursday
World Book Day! This year we wont be dressing up but we will be doing fun activities throughout the day to celebrate it.

To reduce the amount of 'traffic' at the front of the school. We ask all parents to collect your children from Nursery between 3:00pm and 3:10pm if they have no siblings in school.

Pre-Nursery
We are so excited to welcome your children into our classroom, They are going to have so much fun! I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the year.
Here is some important information for you!

Times
This week the children will be in school 9.15am until 11am all week.

Snack
Please can your child bring their own healthy snack to school. Please can it be clearly labelled and placed in a container or bag, to prevent other children touching it directly. Even if the snack is a banana, it will need to be put into a sealed food bag with a name on it. Before the children eat their snack they will be washing their hands ready to collect it and eat it at a table.  Outside the classroom there will be a labelled snack and water bottle box. Before you enter the class please place your items in the correct box. There will be 3 boxes; 1 for A-L surnames, 1 for M to Z surnames and Pre-Nursery. To help the children with this system we have named our groups your children will be in the polar bears so help them look for this image.

The children will also be offered milk during snack time. If you do not want your child to drink this, please can you specify at the door.
