Dear Parents,
The children are now
very settled in both morning and afternoon sessions. All members of staff are
very impressed with how quickly they have settled into school life! Time
is going so quickly, we have had another busy week full of laughter and fun
despite the miserable weather.
SCHOOL LIBRARY
Reading books
to your children stimulates their imagination and expands their
understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills
and prepares them to understand the written word. In school we have a great
library full of books for children of all ages. The children have been split
into two groups. The children will have the opportunity to read a variety of
books and chose two to take home to read with you at home. On the day your
child visits the library, we ask that you send your child into school with a
book bag and small teddy (name clearly written) so your child can read to their
teddy during the library visits, please make sure this is a small teddy that
fits inside the book bag. We will start this scheme on the week beginning the
14thOctober. Please see below the day your child will be visiting.
