Chinese New Year

The children have been learning about Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Pig.

We look at how Chinese people celebrate the New Year-

They would clean their house so we decided to clean our Doll house to get it ready for the celebrations

We re-acted out the story of the Chinese New Year in the water tray with all of the animals from the story.

We looked to see how many gold coins we could find in the sand. 

We had a go at copy different Chinese symbols for the animals from the story

Afternoon Nursery was very lucky and  went on a trip with Reception to a Chinese Restaurant. The children tried different types of Chinese food and even had a go eating with chopsticks. 

We also have been working hard practicing writing our RWI letters-

Friday Nursery was closed due to the snow. I set some snow tasks for the children to do. I would like to take this opportunity to say thankyou for taking photos and letting the children bring them in to discuss and show the nursery children what they did.
