Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a great weekend despite the miserable weather.

It was lovely to see the all the children today and I am very impressed with how well the new children have settled. They have quickly become used to the school routine and are now familiar with the adults within the setting.

Information for the new parents

Reading books to your children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. In school we have a great library full of books for children of all ages.

Since September the nursery children

visit the school library on set days.

The children will have the opportunity to read a variety of books and chose one to take home to read with you at home. On the day your child visits the library, we ask that you send them to school with a book bag and small teddy (name clearly written) so your child can read to their teddy during the library visits.

The new group for the pre nursery children is called ‘Tiddler’. They will be visiting the library every Thursday. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Information for all parents

Can I kindly ask that you send your child’s book bag to school on the correct day? This allows us keep book records updated, many thanks!

Can I just remind you all to keep a spare pair of clothes clearly labelled in your child’s bag? We are short of spare clothes in school so would be very grateful if you did this.
