Snow Lambs

I hope you are enjoying the weekend and making the most of the dry weather!
Can you all check that your child has gone home with the right jumpers/cardigans? A few have gone missing and are yet to be found. Can you also ensure all clothing is clearly labelled; we have a jumper basket full of jumpers with no names!!
The weather has been a lot colder over the last two weeks. Can you please make sure the children are dressed for the cold weather, thank you!
The focus tasks for the next fortnight will be linked to the story ‘The Snow Lambs’. These will include:

Literacy and Language Development
·      RWI sound sessions
·     Hot seat Bess the dog to develop questioning skills
·      Writing workshop

Mathematical Development
·     To develop 1-1 correspondence when counting the missing sheep
·     To complete a 2 sequenced pattern using animals
Knowledge and Understanding
Cooking task: To make a chocolate snowball

Forest School
·      To ‘paint’ a sheep or dog using mud and puddles! (Please put spare clothes in bag just incase!)

Physical Development
· To crawl like a ‘fox’

PM focus tasks
Personal and Social Development
·      Circle time- to discuss the different roles a dog has

Knowledge and Understanding
·      To recognise the changes to salt dough when cooked

Creative Development
·      To create a sheep using popcorn

The pre nursery children have settled in so well! This week they will join in with focus tasks, P.E and forest school. On a Tuesday Tily, Mya and Quinn will do P.E and on a Thursday Macie and Jessica will do P.E. They can come to school wearing joggers and trainers.
