New term….

It sounds like the children had a great half term and they have settled back into school well! Last week we continued with our ‘Room on the Broom activities’.

Snack money of £3.50 is now due; please can the money be put in an envelope with the child’s name clearly written, thank you!

This term is one of my favourites; with Christmas just around the corner it really is a magical time in the Nursery! From Monday will be start practicing our Christmas concert! Practice will take place during our P.E slot so there will be no P.E this term. A letter will be given out shortly with your child’s part so it gives you plenty of time to sort costumes. I have also booked a trip to see Santa at bijou soft play in Cowbridge on the 15^th December. Letters will be given out with more information next week.

The next to weeks we will be celebrating ‘Diwali’, our activities will include…

·     To understand the story of ‘Rama and Sita’

·     To hot seat Sita to develop questioning skills and discuss different feelings

·     To create Rangoli Patterns in Forest school

·     To make a Diva lamp using clay

·     To complete writing patterns to guide Sita though a maze

·     Recognise and order numbers

·     Develop 1-1 correspondence when counting

·     Continue with RWI
