Can I just say a HUGE thank you to William and his Mum and Dad for bringing a baby calf to school. The children loved the experience and the calf was only one week old!
Thank you Mr and Mrs Roderick.

Over the next two weeks our focus tasks will be related to the stories 'Oliver's Fruit Salad' & 'Oliver's Vegetables'. Activities include:

Literacy and Language

·     Taste a range of fruits and think of words that describe the taste

·     Read Write Inc sessions

Mathematics

·     Sort vegetables and fruit according to length
·     Capacity lesson- children will learn all about empty, full, nearly full, nearly empty

Knowledge and Understanding
·     Importance of eating healthily - sort foods according to whether they are healthy or unhealthy

Creative

·     Making different fruits and salads, using the
most appropriate collage materials

Welsh
·     Learning the names of fruit and vegetables in Welsh and matching them with the correct colours

Writing Workshop

1.   Cursive letter formation

2. Track fruit and vegetables

3. Number formation- 5

Forest School

• Prepare the allotment and plant radishes and beetroot and other vegetables

P.E
Please can the children wear trainers on P.E days, as we will be practicing for Sports Day!

The Literacy Information Evening will be held on Wednesday the 29th April at 6.00pm, it would be great if you could make it, as it will give you an insight on how Read, Write, Inc is taught.
