The children have settled very well and all seem to be ready to enjoy school full time.
Over the next two weeks our tasks will relate to the story ‘Elmer’. They will include:
Making a textured patch, discussing how different materials feel to help complete a textured patchwork elephant
·  Colouring a picture of Elmer
·  Circle time- to decide class rules
·  Colour mixing- to discover what two colours make orange!
  •       Forest School - Introduce the children to the outdoor areas

We will also be continuing with our Initial Assessment.

PE will start this week, the list will be on the window informing you which day your child has PE. Your child does not need a PE kit although can you please send your child to school in jogging bottoms and trainers on their PE day.

To help with our textured Elmer, if you have any of the following we would be very grateful:
   Sandpaper
   Cotton wool
   Scouters
   Kitchen foil
   Bubble wrap
   Silky material
   Buttons
   Lasagne sheets
   Netting

If you haven’t already done so, please can you send wellies, snack money and photo permission forms in as soon as possible.

To complete our work on Elmer we will be celebrating 'Elmer Day!' 'Elmer Day' will take place on Friday 26th September. The children will receive an invite from Elmer informing them of what will happen during the day.

As always, any problems, please come and see one of us.

I hope you had a great weekend, see you Monday :)
