SUMMER TERM

I hope you had a lovely Easter and the Easter bunny visited you all. On the whole we have been very lucky with the weather & let's hope it continues.

I can't believe this is our last term of this shool year, I don't know where the time has gone.
Our topic this term is 'Land Ahoy'. Many of our activities will be related to the beach in some way. To introduce the topic we have our trip to 'Parc ' on Thursday, followed  by a visit from a 'real' pirate on Friday - what an exciting first week!
Many of the books we will base our activities around this term will by the author Rhonda Armitage. This will allow us to look at similarities and differences between the books.

SNACK MONEY - As this term is four weeks long, snack money of £4 is now due. Prompt payment would be appreciated - Many thanks.

PE for your child will remain on the same day, either Tuesday or Friday.

Activities over the next two weeks will be related to the story ' A New Home for a Pirate'. Activities will include:

• Writing instructions about living on a farm and living on a pirate ship
• Counting up to 10, and then 20 and on from a given number
• Counting up to 20 objects
• Sorting land animals from sea animals
• A Diamond Nine activity - children have to order objects according to how important it would be to take them if they moved house - they must all agree on what order the objects go!
• Creating a pirate display
• Learning a welsh song - noffiwch yn y mor
• FOREST SCHOOL - planting bedding plants

DONT FORGET - all children will need packed lunches on Thursday.
