Last fortnight of the term!!

Where has the time gone? We can't believe how quickly this term has gone. We have done so much, as I am sure you can see from the photos. It is Miss Day who puts most photo on - so a big thank you to her:)
Next week we will be completing Spring and Easter activities. Our main story will be 'When will it be Spring?' Activities include:

  • Setting up an egg shop. Children will be introduced to coins up to 5p and they will be encouraged to buy the eggs using the coins they have
  • A 3d shape hunt. TheEaster bunny has lost his 3d shapes and needs our help to find them!
  • Making nests and counting eggs into it
  • Looking at factual books about lambs. Discussing the difference between fiction and non-fiction books before labelling a lamb
  • Ordering Spring flowers according to their height
  • Completing the life cycle of a chick
  • Making Easter cards
  • Going on an Easter hunt, looking for signs of Spring as we go
  • Recognising the concept of several sleeps as after 'two' sleeps or after 'three' sleeps
  • Forest School - we will be weeding our allotment, so it is ready to plant in it after the holidays
  • PE - we will be completing assessments
  • ICT - using the mouse to 'draw' a chick on the 2simple, 2paint programme
Next week, we have a new member of staff joining us. Mrs Morse will be with us from Monday until the end of the school year, we are all looking forward to having her in the nursery.

Have a good weekend - hope all you mums have a restful weekend and enjoy your little treat from the children - Happy Mother's Day to you all :)
