Winter!

The children have settled back into school well and we have already started learning our songs in preparation for St. David's Day. Over the next two weeks we will be completing Winter related activities. We are hoping that the weather is going to be 'wintery'! Activities include:

  • Going on a winter walk, taking winter pictures
  • Using the pictures to create a non-fiction book about winter
  • Ordering snowflakes according to the number written on them
  • Finding bears by following positional language clues
  • Making pastry snowflakes, focusing on the change in ingredients
  • Completing a winter display
  • Forest School - children will receive a letter from mouse explaining that he needs a warm house in the forest. The children will be encouraged to find appropriate materials to make a house for mouse
This week we will also be assessing what sounds of the alphabet and numbers the children recognise.

As always, please let us know if you have any concerns. See you in the morning :)
