Fortnight beginning 19th March

School trip letters went out this week. We are looking for a few parents to come with us. We can't take many. So, could you let us know if you are available and we will confirm within a day or two whether we need you - many thanks.
Next week we will begin our Easter Activities. Activities include:

• making an edible Easter bonnet


• making a nest with eggs, ensuring we count the correct number of eggs into the nest


• Making Easter cards - children will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of different designs and materials


• Easter surprises!


• The life cycle of a chick


• Hot-seating activity, where children take on the role of a character from a story and ask and answer questions in that role


• learning to peer assess and self assess each other on the rules and routines of the class


• experimenting with a pan balance, predicting whether objects are heavier or lighter

We will also be planting the planters around the infant yard with bedding plants. If you have any bedding plants that you could donate, we would be very grateful.

We have been asked if we would like some frogspawn in the class. We would, but we need a clear plastic tank to put them in. If anyone has one they could lend us we would appreciate it.
