The children have enjoyed taking part in the activities relating to 'In the Lunch Box' and have learned many new skills whilst completing them.
Over the next two weeks we will be 'In the Treasure Box'. Our activities will be pirate based and include a treasure hunt, with clues that will encourage them to walk, run, hop and skip. They will also be finding out about all the different areas of the school that they are not yet familiar with, thus developing their geographical skills. The children will be developing their listening skills to complete pictures of pirates. They will be given instructions they have to follow in order to complete the pirates successfully! Our cooking activity next week will be pirate biscuits. The children will have to put eyes, nose and hair in the appropriate place to successfully complete the task - and the question is how will they 'stick' them on?.. Ask them! We will be continuing our work on pattern by making pirate jewellery, the patterns will get increasingly more difficult, depending on the stage of the children. As pirates are not normally very nice people we will take the opportunity to discuss the importance of being kind to each other and what makes a good friend.
If anyone has any suitable pirate books we would welcome them. Please ensure they have names in and hand them to a member of staff in the mornings.
We will also be continuing to practise our Christmas Concert. If your child has words to say they will be sent out next week. Please help your child to learn them. It is important that they learn to say them loudly. Any problems please see a member of staff.

Costumes - Please can we have all costumes in by Wednesday 30th November.

Snack money - Snack money is now over due, please send it in as soon as possible.

No toys! - Children are continuing to bring toys into school. We would appreciate it if all toys could remain at home.

Spare clothes - Many children have borrowed spare clothes from school and have not yet returned them. Please could we have them back as our spare clothes box is very low.

P.E- We are now using our hall times for Christmas rehersals. P.E will resume Christmas.
