Hope you all enjoyed a restful half term and the children are ready for a busy and exciting half term. Over the next two weeks our theme of 'In the Box', is taking us into... 'The Lunchbox!' Amongst other things, the children will have opportunities to play pairs in Welsh, using pictures of foods and developing their Welsh vocabulary. They will also be sorting typical lunchbox foods according to whether they are healthy or not, this will promote lots of discussion on the importance of healthy eating. The children will be asked to make some healthy foods out of salt dough, whilst doing this they will look carefully at the shape and form of the foods they are creating. The children will have lots of stories read to them and will be offered opportunities to re-enact some of them using masks and props to help. We will be making patterns inside using fruit, and outside using natural materials.
We will also be starting our Christmas songs!
PE will continue on a Monday and Tuesday for a few weeks, until we will need to use our hall times to practise our Christmas concert. Letters about the concerts will be out by the end of next week.
