Over the last week we have had the story of Elmer, the patchwork elephant and have completed lots of activities relating to the story. These activities will continue until next Friday. This has included lots of discussion with the children about all of us looking different but being the same inside. This, we hope will encourage the children to become more aware of the world around them, the importance of respecting others and valuing their friends.
To end our Elmer work, we are having an 'Elmer' day next Friday 22nd October. Please can the children come into school dressed in very colourful clothing, the more mis-matched the better! We will finish the day with a small party.
